just variation sounds like , my reloader, can leave it on all day, & I can use the batteries for at least 2 tourneys. My halo used to be awful for batteries; reloaders are definitely better.

Check the bearings are running freely, damaged or tight bearings will load the motor and use far more power.
And a liitle bit of oil will be a good idea for them

Well i recently cleaned out my halo and the bearings seemed fine.
I havent played speedball for a long time now or went to any team trainings so i dont have any "spare boards" that i could borrow becuase lack of contacts.
So i dont want to jump into buying a board and then that doesnt work, then jump into buying a neoaphean(sp) pack and then that doesnt work :(
Personally i think its the board's fault after reading the replies. The button has to be held down and then tapped to come on.... so there one obvious problem that could stem to eating power or maybe its the cause itself!
So does anyone think i should just buy a new hopper all together and not risk it?
Thanks All

Get rechargables , cant go wrong with them, and you wont have to worry about batteries dying on you in a middle of a game.:)

Also got Neophean B Charge Battery pack, bought 2. Significant improvement over non-rechargeables, you can use it all day without issues!

If your talking about the normal rechargables, and not the neophean pack, they dont work either. I will put them on charge for as long as the packet says and the next day the same scenario, battery low in about 3 hours!
