I've tried every hopper in recent times as can be atested to.
I needed a replacement for my eggs,I'm now using vlociy's with hyperdrive chip and have no issues with batteries.
I use 242's as I got the XSV vlocity in a good deal;the chip does cut down battery useage and as yet they've never gone flat on me,mostly woodland and around 4,000 balls a day.
I must admit the first one I had was secondhand and standard and the batteries(procell) only lasted 3 games.
My son is having issues with his jamming-up which we are trying to resolve, also one of my mates who uses a halo gets through 2 sets of batteries per day(both hoppers were bought new).
My personal issue with halo's is that I have a nasty habit of tilting my marker and the Halo refused to feed whereas the vlocity doesn't hesitate, and nor did the egg.
I upgraded to the vlocity purely for speed, but I'd use my egg before I'd use a Halo
.
Both good,your personal choice really...
