Simon, is there any validity to that fear, do you suppose? I assume that the manufactured translucent shells are mixed with the coloring agent before the molds, rather than dyes after the fact. It sounds like a groundless concern to me, though...
If they are so worried about player injurys due to plastic shards they should also outlaw the use of sponsor stickers on loaders, as the glue can weaken certain plastics too.(I can not see that happening, can you)
Also the sun does the same through the IR degradation of the plastic. So maybe they should start date testing loaders and reduce the loaders life span if it has been used in a sunny country(UK ones should last far longer than anyone elses)
Sorry Simon but it just sounds like the Industry has managed to find a way to rinse more money from us already impoverished players!

Did you miss the bit where I said it was INSANE? I agree it's not a good thing.
I argued a long time with Ed Poorman and Camille about it. I don't see such an issue with 'clear' loaders and nor do I personally see an issue with painting or dyeing the loaders (insert indemnity from USA lawyers here by saying if done correctly )
I tried... personally considering how many colours we are coming out with on the Halo I don't think they will be able to tell... but if you have a coloured egg they 'might' (yeah right) pick up on it.
