Company vs company

But Bad Company may not mean Company (as in Military) but company as in people you are with.

A play on words, but worth the benefit of the doubt in my mind.

You could go OTT and say that if Avalance went to play a game in Switzerland just after a massive avalance, that it would be in bad taste.

Look at football (American): Is the name NY Giants offensive to midgets? (And is the word midget offensive?)

I think some teams, most teams, think of what their name projects. Team We Love Everyone may not be a good name, nor is Team Child Killers.

No, it's not about taste

The point, or at least the point as I understand it, is any military-esque names were being brought under the microscope - nothing to do with taste or offensiveness whatsoever.

Hmm.
Sorry I misunderstood then. I don't like Assassins, because I think it's a sucky, over the top name. If I was worried about the military thing, I'd hate the name Russian Legion too, which I kinda like to be honest.
Assassins just has to much of a "ooh, look at me being scary" ring to it. Reminds me of 70's/80's hardrock bands...:D
TJ will probably like the name for that exact reason. :D

I think Intimidators would have been better, cooler word.

Considering why NXL and X-Ball in general was set up, to become more a wide received 'sport' you'd have thought names like 'Assassins' and 'Killers' would have been avoided in aid of the cause. It suits them but Intimidators woulda been way better. In my honest opinion of course.

Anyway, I still think K2 is by far the greatest team name ever created. :D

you aint wrong there

we thought about Kilimanjaro but doesn't have the same ring or mean as much to us a K2 does.

By the way Teej, I read somewhere that there are some scientists who reckon that using some crazy ass state of the art measuring technology K2 may be higher than Everest by quite a few feet.

Just realised, I think there's an Eclipse team pattern here. K2, Nitro....there's also a new team, team World Industries. :D
