Yo Kev ma man, ive recently got both, and to tell the truth i like them both equally, though to be honest i loved my old pair of proflexes the most. heres my adv. and disadv. on both
Events: Adv :- Look wicked, thermal lenses available, flexible enough to offer comfort (which is really good), really good optical clarity, though my clear lense got stained badly by some sterling paint.
Disadv :- Low profile = some painfull shots you wont get with the likes of proflexes / grillz, they don't look great with the peaks on, and personally i noticed a lot of reverb and echo when shouting, meaning your voice doesnt travel too well compared to some other gog's. Ear lobe protection lacking (like proflex's lol )
Grillz :- Love 'em or hate 'em look.
adv, comfortable as hell full ear protection, rubbery part of the face plate is super flexy, but thankfully the shape at the front offers just the right strength in tension and compression so when you get shot in the mouth, you don't get your teeth knocked out. the optical clarity on the lenses is amazing. enough protection to stop some painfull shots dead. Verbal clarity again is strong, equally comparable to proflexes. The peaks are wicked too
disadv :- single lenses mean if you clean them too vigourously you risk severly damaging the thermal coating. Though if you look after them seriously no fog. Shape of the lense is a lil getting used to as well as the fact that they seem really close to you're face
Both goggles have wicked quick change lense systems, though i found it easier with the grillz. And note aswell, the fact that you can change the foam super easy on the grillz is really cool, though ive not had to change mine yet.
Once again though, its one of those thing's that remains to personnal preference, try 'em both if ya can and decide from there, its easier than asking for somones opinion (like mine)
Nicky~
