Just played today myself. I don't have Live! (too much of a pain in the ass with the modchip and all), so I couldn't do that, but I played single player and 1 on 1 System Link with a friend. First of all, the fact that it's 1 player per Xbox, and you can't have a System Link game with simulated teams is uttery festive. You can only play System Link with as many actual people as you have, and one on one ain't much fun. But the career mode in Single player I thought was actually a lot of fun. The 3D graphics aren't fabulous, but certainly not sub-par. I'd say average for Xbox (I don't think they're any less realistic than Halo2 myself). The only thing is, on the stupid fecking woods fields, you can't see hardly at all until someone's right up on ya. My TV has bad color anyway, so that might have contributed to it, but since Mr. Grendel-Khan said the same thing, I'm inclined to think that it's partly the game as well. Gameplay is absolutely killer, this game is addictive. I played from 10:30 PM to 5:15 AM. The upgrade shop is really cool, the better you get, the better the stuff you can buy, and it's all stuff we actually play with. I didn't find the AI to be as bad as Grendel says, although it is a bit inconsitent (one game you're team mates will do mad run throughs and slaughter a whole team by themselves, other games they shoot at planes in the sky), when you start to unlock the Novice, Amatuer and Pro players, they get progressively better and more consistent, so perhaps by the time you reach Pro status that clears up?? Another good thing, very PC. No mention of "kills", "guns", "ammo", etc: Eliminations, markers, paintballs. It does break from reality a bit though in that the players say things like "crud, he got me", or "man, I'm out" when they get hit, as opposed to some other more choice words you might hear at a real field The funny part is, the words "crud" and "sucks" seem to have warranted a "T" rating for "Language" (and "Mild Violence") All in all, I think this a great game, very fun to play, very entertaining, pretty true to life, and by far the best game ever done for paintball, miles ahead of all the stupid computer games and Quake mods. When all you UK guys get it, sound off.
