if you are after playing tournament then just look around at the next one you visit........ don't bother asking here as all you'll get is personal opinion and people trying to sell you their stuff........... you'll see angels, cockers, (lots of E-bladed ones) shockers, impulses and E-mags also a few timmy's and the odd matrix, you won't see many mags and you certainly won't see any tipmans.
My advice....... a cocker that you upgrade to E-blade in a while or aany of the others I've mentioned......... 2nd gen cockers are a very good buy right now...and I'm not trying to sell you one :)

see what your comfy with, I dont really like cockers because the grip frame feels too small, but the matrix (the kid working there called it a mailbox and I told myself that I wanted that mailbox) and impy were nice and felt comfortable in my hands, so go to your shop see what you can afford and try it out! well mabe hold it and pul the trigger a litte:D

Isnt the JT 6.0 the one with the talking stuff? People say the voice is annoying because it tells your oppenents where you are when you creep up on them. But basically most blowback guns are easy to maintain, the electronic ones just have an electronic grip on a mechanical body so the electronics dont have to be messed around with. I still think automags are a really good starter gun though, just sold mine, but I noticed someone else selling one.
It all depends on how confident you are about taking it to pieces :) When you buy it, take it down, put it back together, dry fire, take it down again, build it back up without the instructions, test fire again and keep doing it until you are sure that you know what every bit of your gun does and where all the o-rings are. :D :D :D

Which Gun?

Picking up an earlier thread - Autocockers are a little more complex when setting up from new - to get it just the way it should be - but once set they are very reliabel and pretty much maintenance free - as long as you look after them. Automgags are a little less complicated but one of the guys in our team has a level 7 (won't part with it for love nor money and won't upgrade to any electric one) and in the 6 years he's had it, it's had more springs and nubbins and god knows what servicing than my autococker - and autocockers are more accurate!

A good second hand one with air system shouldn't set you back more than about £175, and there are a good few bargains to be had here and on e-bay..

My advice is try before you buy - at the end of the day you've got to feel comfortable with it.

Keep the faith:cool:

hell twinkle the eyes to ur money supply (rents or wife lol) then get urself a nexus :) lol

no seriously impulses are awesome marker, got myself one recently, amazing even standard for a starter marker. Although any cockers is kool to. Wouldnt perosnally recommend spyers but a lot of other people do. Really id say go to a shop and try a few then decide from that.
