good reg

The AKA regs...(tho I cant lay my hands on any details at teh moment) very, very good..overall, recharge and consistency.

The Evolve reg, I heard about while it was in development...the airway, is around 6mm across...which is twice the size of most regs...so...you will never outshoot it.

Yeah we have the evolve regs on our angels, the flow rate is the highest ive seen and concistency is excellent.

They have a built in overpressure vent which can be a blessing or a curse depending on whether you like to randomly turn your reg up much higher than it should be or not.

I have both the PI and the 2liter regs and I choose the 2liter, just cos its more tolerant on dirt getting in it, and easier to strip and clean if I need to.

Frontmandan Ive seen that dynograph too, I dont think they purposefully missed off th e CP it isnt a very fast reg, but its concistent. Not really great for an ion, where flow rate is what you want above all else.

It has been stated here before that the stock ion reg recharges faster than the CP reg.

On that dynograph the 2liter beats some very good regs (such as the gladiator).

I dont think it would beat the PI reg in terms of flow but they are both well ahead of the pack.

Rentonc,

How much do you want for that EGO reg?? (email me)
I would like to test it and see where it fits in the heirachy of regs.

As John said (though didn't necessarily endorse) the stock reg is excellent. There's something wrong with yours crumplper, get it back to SP. Mine hasn't needed disassembling in the entire season - cleaning the main reg should be a once a year job, and probably not even that...

Gotta agree. Brum uni has a set of 5 Ions for team members to use who don't have their own kit. The entire season i've only ever disassembled one once and that was so i knew what i was doing with it incase something did need doing to one at a later date.

All the ions have been approx +/-4ish over the chrono the entire season.

i also own 2 cp regs, aka sindwinder, have had black magic, detonator, system x and torpedo.

aka is the best, but also costs the most, value for money is cp one, performance wise aka or pi
