LPR

I used the evil respirator on my impy (before switching to a nyx) and it did absolutely nothing for the gun. An experienced pro player, sponsored by smart parts, tried setting it up but still no results. The jackhammer II is the only way to go...or buy a matrix.

I think you lot might want to talk to Doc Nickel...

Victor: the Respirator isn't much good unless you also use the Evil valve. Having said all that, I think if I was starting again from scratch, i wouldn't bother with an LPR - for a marginal benefit and relatively high cost, you get a load more moving parts and o-rings to break. A VFF does most of the job at a fraction of the price, and there's not much to go wrong with it.

I've sent Doc an email, interesting to see what he says.

As for a VFF, how does the New Designz equivilent compare, I like the look of that because I dont think you need to tap any holes with it.

It still requires that you have a compatible body - i.e. one with a serial number below about 11000. After that they stopped drilling the hole through the bottom of the body to join the solenoid feed to the valve chamber. If there is a small grub screw on the bottom of your body to the left of the ASA hole (as you hold the body, looking at the underside, barrel end upwards) then your body is compatible. Otherwise, it won't fit.

The difference between the ND VFF and the Voodoo (for instance) is that it comes with a specially-made airscrew which installs in place of that grub screw, but removes the need to tap the hole between the solenoid tube and valve chamber.
