i bought an evil lpr and had problems with it .. dont know of anyone elses experiences with it, but it pi$$ed air out everywhere.

a lot of peeps use the smart parts lpr set up and have no problem , the new designs jack hammer II setup is very good and heard good reports from them .

get a delrin bolt
an aftermarket valve, from New designz or planet eclipse (DART)
a new hammer set up is always good, eclipse stainless hammer, or eclipse titanium hammer, and again new designz aftermarket accessories always good. also an aftermarket trigger .. HSW iframe IF you can manage to get your hands on one.
or if not a blade trigger from eclipse planet eclipse

Hi
On my Eclipse Impulse I had Kapp lpr and that works oke for me
but I also heard that ANS lpr works great also.....

And for other upgrade parts for your nasty pulse I would look for a I-frame and a WAS board (those rock)delrinbolt

if you have those parts your nasty will be real NASTY

Good luck m8te

Here's a question, what about the placement? LPRs do look best when "inline", as it were, with the valve cap, but does that come at the cost of the cap's volume?

Also, does anyone know how the Palmer Micro Rock fairs for Impulses?

If the LPR is screwed to the end of a tapped valve cap then you don't lose any volume; the Evil Respirator, on the other hand, does lose you a lot of volume because it replaces the valve cap. Hence why it runs best at a higher valve pressure than normal.

Micro Rocks work pretty well on impulses, and have to be one of the most reliable LPRs you can get. They're just not "bling" enough for a lot of impy owners

What about the LPR or valve starving the other out of air, might that bring about shoot-down?

Also, I think the micro rocks are pretty decent looking, but I do find the New Designz integrated LPR and cap of the best looking set ups.

Not generally a problem - there is enough air downstream of the LPR to bring the hammer back, even if the valve chamber has emptied through the valve. This is why there is no need for a VFF or tapeworm if you have an LPR.

As for looks, I think the Respirator is the best looking of the lot, but it takes a lot of tweaking to get the best out of it, and it generally only works well with the Evil valve. The New Designz LPR is in fact a Jackhammer II, so you know you're getting a good reg as well as something that looks nice :)

I think i'm the only person who thinks the Jackhammer looks ugly. I wish they would sell the "package" with some nicer regs cos I can't be arsed to go and buy the LPR kit from Planet and and a seperate reg. That's just plain proposterous!

The only reason that the NDZ LPR, with the JH2 (plenty of acronyms there!) is that it's integrated into the cap, instead of having the connector seperating them. If that could be done with a Micro Rock, I'd be more than happy with one.

You can see the difference in this pic, the bottom one looks so much smoother!
