Isn't it the more times it checks the trigger per second rather than the more times that it will actually allow it to shoot? I mean, some guns with eyes on allow an unlimited bps, but they still have to check the trigger x amount of times per second for a pull. So therefore the unlimited cap is not really true, as it can only possibly trigger a firing sequence x amount of times in a second. Inversely, if it is capped at 80 and checks the trigger 80 times a second, it will be slower than if it were capped at 80 but checked the trigger 1 million times a second.
