personally i wouldnt bother with the fan unless it's a last resort. As gassy said, get the lens and see if that sorts you out first.

Agreed, don't bother with the fan if you do not want to annoy your team mates. It makes one hell of a buzzing noise that gets on everyones nerves

Get some mirror thermal lenses

Superman hearing.

You guys must have superman hearing. People sometimes ask about the buzzing when in safe zones etc, but it is so faint it aint nothing.

I've got the standard I3 pro lenses which is the HD lenses. I'm always steaming them up without the fan and never with the fan.

from personal experiance mine cleared up what little was left by the thermal lense. played woodsball on sunday it was very hot till 3pm and i was sweating allday. But could see great. im a big guy and usualy suffer fog alot, this was my first outing with the fan and was glad it worked.

This chap has a Dye I3 mask and I think the only fan that fits is a Dye turbo fan. Havent heard a bad word said about this product (other than the price!).

Just to add my 2 pence...

A little while ago I bought some 2nd-hand Dye i3's on these forums and have used them ever since. Not once have I had a single problem with steaming up - Even when breathing on the lens to try and steam it up!

To those with i3's that do steam up, perhaps there is a problem with the lens/anti-fog layer on the lens that is causing it to steam up.

get a thermal lens before a fan as its cheaper and i have no problems with my dye goggles.
