hmmm...
what would "Ultimately" stop me paintballing would be Health...
(or should i say lack of health..)
What does seriously hinder my paintball though is the fact im a part time working student...
i seriously dont know how ive afforded the last 12 months, but ive spent way more than i can realisticly afford on paintball,
but i get by, and i play most of the games i want to..
however, on the "Girl" side of things...
i split up with an Ex of mine about a year and a half ago..
(and it was a pretty bad split, she ran off with my best m8..)
for 18 months ive been single..
My only lasting love has been paintball..
(now the tough bit)
ive met two verry nice girls over the last 8 months or so,
first one was a real nice girl i worked with, but was involved in a nasty accident with an air weapon when she was a child and hates paintball as to her its just another form of air weaponry, and she hated me doing it..
Result :- She worried so much about my safety when i went, and made such a fuss over my bruises that she just couldnt deal with the fact that i will continue to keep doing it!! and i wont ever stop, she left me as it was too much for her.
second girl was (admitedly a little young for me..) gorgeous, intelligent, a proffesional, and we got on like a house on fire, she was pretty much my ideal girl, but.. she was one of these anti gun freaks (and i mean a freak!) if it had a barrel & a trigger, it was to be banned in her eyes!! shes even been known to campaign against various "gun related hobbys"
Result :- plain choice.. her, or paintball...
Both girls pointed out i had other hobbies i could persue, but they just couldnt understand that nothing makes me feel better than shooting a rope while diving into a snake with my Ego, or going from that oil barrel to the next tree with my warsensor (i like tourney & rec equally). They just couldnt understand my love & addiction for this wonderfull sport we have.
hell, given the choice, id ditch all my other hobbys & passtimes in favour of paintball!!
one thing though, talk about bad luck!!! why do i meet all the nut cases?!? seriously, you couldnt write this sorta comedy!!
Paintball has cost me a lot over the years, and i daresay it will continue to be a predominant part of my life for years to come.
