a mag does have an internal reg, but thats for changing the velosity, by changing the input.

as already stated mags are designed to work at about 800 psi ish, maybe a little more if you realy want to.

input definatly does NOT want to be 3000 psi

1.9 is 114 CI/CU

also, to work out the rough amount of shots, for 3000psi times the CU by 10, so like a 114 CU bottle will give roughly 1140 shots, for 4500psi times it by 15.

well i didnt know it wasnt an air reg cos he didnt say, so not my fault

Planeteclipse are doing a PMI Pure energy 3000psi system for £76 + vat. Only a 0.8 litre alloy tank though.

Smart Parts Europe do the same regs for £45 or the Pure Energy 4500psi reg for £65 + vat. But you'd need a bottle - which is usually the most expensive bit (£145 + vat for a 1.1 litre 4500psi tank).

This would be a VERY rough calculation, as different markers have very different gas consumptions. E.g. I would expect to get an awful lot more shots from a 1.1 4500 bottle on my Impulse than you would on a Shocker, or standard Matrix.

do you have to set the reg up yourself to a certain output? if so how much? do all guns operate at the same psi?

Might be cheap, but you won't get many shots from it at 0.8l 3000psi.
No, different markers work at different psi. The Mag, as stated above, operates at 800psi. However, the Impulse operates at between 175 to 200psi

Mag Operating Pressures

Ok people, the Mag itself operates between 325 and 525 psi internally. (depending on valve and spring combinations, the level 10 conversion with the harder springs requires more air)

You need to feed a mag between 800 and 1000 psi into the valve where the internal regulator brings it down to the appropriate pressure for firing. Higher the input pressure into the valve the faster the gun recharges until it starts to vent (about 1100 psi on my mag).

Running a flatline 4.5k with a 68 bottle I get over 1200 shots from a fill. I've never seen a 3000psi system on a mag so I don't know how many shots you would get from a small tank, and mags vary so much from gun to gun that even if I had it would be hard to say.

I would recommend that you go for a 4.5k preset system with a 68 tank, more cost but you are more likely to be happy with it for longer.

well.....yeah i mean QP's impy he played 2 games with a full tank and came out with at least 3kpsi left....

how do you adjust the psi going into the mag? sorry i aint got a clue about air systems
