Yes apparently the MS do know who the UK based player is. They will not at this stage say who it is for fear of wrongful persecution, but they are taking steps to investigate. From what I have learned his team has dropped him recently but it was nothing to do with the alledged incident.
And before anyone asks I do not know who he is or the team name - the MS were careful not to start a witch hunt. My advice whoever you may be - own up now because if they do name you, boy will you see the post count go up!
In reference to the Duck shooting - this is I am told by the MS is purely a rumour and no complaint has been made to them.
