gat also sounds like 'gash'. which in bredrin gangster terms means girls, chicks, babes whatever you wanna call the sweet mummas. therefore it makes it sound like your true loved precious chosen one;)

as has been said, there is a type of air pistol, generally mid range powered for one of that sort, usually used to kill mice and rats, just shrot of the power of a plinker. But also the terms marker and gat are used to avoid the word gun. Contrary to what has been said, the military do not use the word gun, they have rifles, pistol, automatic rifles etc etc. Just what i was taught but am lead to beleive by several sources this is the closest definition.
Another possibility is that the word gat has nothing REAL to do with firearms of any sort and it is a word that is mutually understood by people as with markers. Hope this helps

A 'gun' is specific to a weapon mounted to something (usually the ground), so for example a cannon is a 'gun'..

So calling any hand held firearm a 'gun' is actually wrong. Oh, and you can't really call a paintball marker a 'rifle' either because they don't have the rifling on the barrel (and even if they do with barrels like the armson stealth, it doesn't have much in the way of a positive effect on a sphericle projectile).

A paintball musket is the only thing that seems half right, but why not just call it a marker anyway??
