Getting back to the subject.......
You guys make me sick. It's cheap stunts like that which are ruining the sport. Have you no honour! If you can't win fair, you don't deserve to win at all. In fact, you don't deserve to play at all. And Ritchard, last I heard, you were running Durham Uni's paintball society. You ought to be setting an example, not encouraging this kind of thing.Originally posted by chunk.kw
I pulled a move a few weeks ago. We were on our training ground practicing one on one. As the game progressed we got a little closer. I then shouted "on the front of your gun." He then turned his gun around to have a look. It was then that I ran and bunkered him. he wasn`t to impressed but it tought him not to drop his guard.

I am indeed running the DUPS, and yes I should be trying to set an example to other members of the team, we have a reposibility to our sponsors to be seen in a positive light. That having been said I have to disagree with you here, the situation as it stands was a 1 on 1 practice, so any stunts are par for the course. It was a joke nothing more.
In a tournament game then such a tactic is very different, it would definitely be in a grey area of paintball. I have to say that I would be unlikely to use such a tactic myself, but I don't feel that anyone who used it would be cheating. Though you have to move fast to mug me while I have a look at the front of my gun... I'd be likely to call a marshall over in such circumstances.
Anyway, you are entitled to your opinion, but that's the way I see it

I don't think Sam and I were going to come to blows, he's a great deal bigger than my by all reports (or at least my Mum says that his Dad's not a little guy).
Sam, are you arround the Series 2003 at all? Although we have never met, we have chatted about Uni paintball on the phone.
