PAIN!!

I'm a nice guy, and our team consists of nice guys, but, when you play the game you kinda change a little bit and your tolerance for people tends to get very, very small. I remember one of our training days AGES ago and one young whipper-snapper thought it'd be a good idea to show off by running to bunker one of our players....oooooh unlucky son you're outta there. But wait....he's still determined to do the mug and he's yards away...dadadadadadadada....we just kept lighting the guy up, up and down until he physically had to stop running from hurt (we weren't point blank or owt). Now this may seem a bit harsh and it aint something we do to everyone that tries it on but you gotta teach 'em a lesson. It's for their own good, honestly.

AND they won't do it again so quickly.:D

Putting the PAIN back in paintball.
Would that be a 'little' whipper snapper??

Paul.

OK. I have spoken to the Young Guns captain, and to Beaker of Thunder on this issue. I wasn't there, so I can't be for certain on what happened, but I have seen some video footage from the tournament, and I can say that some of the so called "cheating" is questionable. If anyone has a problem with any of Corrosion in the future, speak to me directly. Like I said, I have talked to the Young Guns and expressed my concerns and he has assured me that he will deal with it. I apologize to any team who might have been effected by this.

John- In the future, I would appreciate it if you would come to me on these issues instead of trying to take a stab at my Young Guns and my whole team name in a public forum. If you had a problem, you should have spoken to Vince (Young Guns captain) on that day. Instead of handling it in a mature manner, you now have attempted to slander the Corrosion name on the forum that most paintball teams read in the U.K.. If your intention was to try and bring us down, speak to me face to face next time we see you at a tournament and we will straighten this out. You obviously wanted to make this public, so let's make it public.

"That" Game

Right,

I spoke to Chip and explained the game as I saw it from the sidelines. I did that in an email off the board as this is no place to be throwing around that kind of smack talk

I would like to point out for the sake of accuracy that Corrosion YG should not be singled out as some bunch of cheating b'stards. There were 2 questionable incidents during muggings in that one game which means that was noticed by some people. Now as there were relatively few muggings all day (credit to C YG for giving it a go) it does rather follow that people will scrutinise those harder than other games.

I must commend Chip for the way he has dealt with it and the lengths he is prepared to go to make sure everything is cool.

Chip, drop me a mail with your numbers etc or call me after the weekend and I will try and hook up for training etc as we (quickly) discussed - the meal was great BTW :D

Having not seen the game in question between SAD YG and Corrosion YG, I cannot pass comment on the "cheating" incident.
What I would like to say though is that I had the oppotunity to speak with some of the corrosion guy's at the tournie, and saw some of their games and would like to say that I and the SAD squad have no problem with any of you guy's.
I think what John was trying to say was that a team can win even against a team that is "pushing the rules". You have to see it in the contected of the post previous to his..

Don't ket teams like that piss you off too much. Just remember that you don't have to stoop to their level to win and play the game like you always do. It will bite them in the ass sooner or later and you will be the one laughing
He was only putting over a perception of the game that he had, whether this was right or wrong.
As for posting his views on the foram, I personally feel that teams that "cheat" should be named and shamed, although I would agree that it is only right to allow the team in question to put their side of the story over first in private.
I am not in any way indicating that I feel that Team corrosion do cheat as I said previously, I found them both fair and approachable.
