Freak Problems

A couple of team-mates and myself use Freak sets, and we all seem to be experiencing breaks in the barrel on pretty regular occurances. After having about 4 in the space of 2 games, I switched to another barrel (of the same bore size as the freak insert I was using), and didn't have a single break for the rest of the day. Anyone else having problems with breaks? Is it common with Freaks?

they can have problems with the front not being screwed in properly. Plus my older freak had issues with really brittle paint as the inserts aren't bevelled but I've been told newer ones are.

But I sold mine and now use a JT set - sweet

do u use a matrix?

i sold my freak because it costantly chopped in the front half of the barrel plus a team mate had the same problem

swapped over to a armson no problems i think dyes are better as well

Beaker: It's the newer type, with the sloped insert, and it's still doing it! And the Barrel I changed to..... JT........

Mr Toad thingy: Nah, it's a cocker. team-mates were using Angels.



It didn't seem to be the paint either, Fresh Blaze, which shot great with other barrels.

I have the same problem.. breaks mid barrel.. it's like they don't line up spot on..

I've had no problems at all with my Freak. One break in the barrel only over about 12 full day's play, & that was pretty cr@p paint (broke twice that day in the breach as well).

First time I took my freak out I had problems with it aswell. As it was a choice of a JT system, Dye or freak I may just sell my freak off and get one of the others instead. Anyone got reviews for the Dye Titanium and JT barrels?

Liz: What paint were you using? Using the Freak on my angel, I never had a problem. As soon as I stuck it on my cocker, it was breakzilla........

Charlie: That's probably what I'm gonna look at doing. I give the Freak another whirl at practice and see how it performs. It might have just been one of those days for us......

I bought one on Saturday, ran 1000 thru it on Sunday, was accurate and I didnt have one break all day.. I am not sure they are made as well as my Boomstick tho, it doesnt seem to have the same sort of quality finish to it...
