It seems to me that if the email is not authentic then someone has gone through quite a bit of trouble to make it seem authentic. Based on the grammar and language used in his previous e-mails, I doubt Jamie wrote this.
I guess a parent or friend could have written it, but I am thinking it may be an authentic follow-up to a complaint made by Jamie. He doesn't lose anything by going to the police if he was certain you were already going to report this to them. In fact, it makes the other complaints look reactionary at first. Luckily, the truth in this case is pretty evident
