understand it better now rich

would expect paint bill to go up when playing better teams

as you need to shoot more

but was worried it might put teams off from the events due to cost

teams should be able to justify an extra couple of boxes

but try telling her indoors you,ve spent another £30

that,s another pair of shoes and a handbag to her;):D:D

Option 2 :D

This will provide a structure were new teams can enter into the conference they learn their stuff and then progress their way through into the championship playing the more 'friendlier' M5 format. Then once they become established team and picking up the results, they progress to the top tier which not only pits them against 'better' teams but gives them a feel of the race-to-2 format, which points them nicely into the direction of xball.

We can now see a clear and linear structure which promotes progression :D ....very exciting!

Why not a 3 man Xball race to 2? Means the 5 man teams in the morning can play Xball in the afternoon if they want and they can do it with the original 5 or whatever they used. I loved 3 man Xball as its nice and fast if ran right. The only problem i could see here was using a Mil field for 3 man, some people may get lost lol :D

regarding cost... its all comes down to value for money. If it costs an extra tenner to play one of the newest and, IMO, more exciting formats against the top teams... then so be it. What I wouldnt want to see is a further defragmentation of the M5 teams i.e. half the best teams play race-to-2 whilst the rest stay in M5, which we would see if the two formats were keep apart and played on isolation.

Its always hard to put a price on how much paint you'll waste in a single event as it all boils down to how many pots you take onto the field and how many empty pots you bring back off - you could walk on the field with 10 pots and 12 seconds later be walking back to the pits with 9.

I dont think race-to-2 will result in a significant increase in paint bills in comparison to M5.

Ya kinda jumped the ball and ruined my next post now Chris

Providing everything goes as planned we are bringing the 3 man back from round 2 which would be a race to 2 pts style 3 man.

Entry is £100 per team or £50 if your team has played the am slot.

This was due to be announced next week but as my hand has been called there ya go

patch it wasn,t that thought you would still be playing 8 teams

but after rich explained it more it became clear still 8-12 games

so cost won,t be a big issue:D

reason i mention it was play for a team that,s in it,s first year

we are in the top 10 and intend stopping there (not bad for a woodsball team)

we get very little if any support/sponsorship and we intend to keep it this way

we work for everything we get

but was worried that it might put some teams off from entering these great events:D
