Would just like some general feedback from al the teams playing the CPPS.
With the new plans for site we will be running four full sized fields.
This means all 5 Man in the morning, with two fields of M7 race to 4 pts x ball, 3 man on another field leaving us a field spare.
With the Millennium Series bringing in the M7 race to 2pts in they are keen for us to offer it along side the M7 race 4 and M5 formats. The basics are there would be no official coaching/coaches, but we would allow crowd participation and sideline abuse. Still waiting on exact particulars for turn around. Would be either a 2-3min turn around between points or a fast turn around between matches rather than a 4-5 game wait.
We have a couple of ideas:
1. Run it in the afternoon alongside the M7 and 3 man formats as an additional open format so teams can try it as an individual event or play all of them.
2. At round 4 when the teams are ranked into there locked divisions keep the Premier League(top div) as race 2 pts and the M5 Championship and M5 Conference (div 2 and 3) as standard M5 format.
Planned division structure for CPPS M5.
We would class the divisions as follows based on the ranking of the first 3 rounds of the CPPS. Numbers in brackets are possible alternative depending on final numbers.
CPPS M5 Premier League. Top 12 teams (maybe 15) would be locked into this division. At the end of the season the bottom 2 (3) will be relegated to championship.
CPPS M5 Championship. The next highest ranked 15 (18) teams would be locked into this divsion. At the end of the season the top 1 (2) will be promoted to Premier league. The next 2 (4) teams will go into a play off system. Bottom 2(3) will be relegated to Conference.
CPPS M5 Conference. All remianing teams will play this division. All new teams playing the CPPS after rd 4 or in 2011 will enter here and battle there way through the divisions if they want to play in the top league. The winners of this divison will be promoted along with a play off place as above.
