I give up! I get a load of pm's saying how boring the forums are at the moment - so I liven it up (look how many pages of crap there are on this subject already) and this is the thanks I get. Well that's it then - I'll not mention this ever again. Let's go back to a boring - anything goes forum (hang on - don't we already have one of them - thought so - it's called PBN I believe).
I'm not - if they stick to the rules - then I leave them alone. Anyway - my crusade has come to an end.Bob said:

does anyone else see a prblem with rule 2:
Rule 2) No "You have PM" or "You have mail" posts.
It is a waste of energy and resources, so quit it or thread gets deleted.
- if you make a for sale or wanted post on the board all legal n good n someone post a you have pm message you're post gets deleted - would this not mean that you suffer because someone else hasn't followed the rules - this would also mean that you would lose details of any other people interested who had posted legal in reply to an ad?? - just asking how this works???

Good point Ben. I think it means if the original thread creator posts that - then it's nothing more than a hidden attempt at bumping.

The thread gets axed if the original poster does it. If it's somebody else, it's just the post that gets the chop.
na, ive noticed the forum has become a lot more "self policed" latley... thing is, ive had a look at other forums (if only briefly), but i get pissed off with the constant bull**** from people that cant spell and seem completlay oblivious to grammar and punctiation... needless to say i was back on here within the next 30 seconds.Raffles said:

i just want to say thanks to buddah for sorting the classifieds, a lot of people have been giving him abuse for deleting some posts, so i feel its only right that at least some one says thanks
No problem Tom, no need to thank me. I knew that moderating these forums would be a thankless task at times when I got the job, but it's a small price to pay for all the cool stuff it has brought me as well. I've gotten to meet some very cool and interesting people over the years. A few goobers as well, but they made me laugh, so that was good too.
