Now, whilst the game has undergone many changes, the food at events has not.

You can count on your wallet being ass-raped at Campaign, and similar at World Cup.

Regional events seem to serve the same lineup of burgers, and run out of bacon by lunch.

I'm not some moist-eyed nancy-boy advocating that we should all eat salad.

I would like to see a plentiful supply of bacon, steak sandwiches, gammon and chops (lamb and pork). And chips. All at reasonable prices.

And a curry wouldn't go amiss either. Or chicken tikka on naan bread. And KFC.

Mmmmmmm.............KFC..................................

I say take your own food, or eat what the pikey's eat. Your choice.

Anyway, I thought the food at the cup for the past few years has been good. BBQ Pulled pork sarnies, pizza, burgers, chicken, meatballs etc. Not bad considering your in the middle of fxxxing nowhere.

I remember one year at Amsterdam they were stopping teams at the site entrance, asking to search bags for food and water as you were "only allowed to buy on site"

There were a lot of arguments at the site entrance! Water was like £3 for a hand size bottle, 1 slice of pizza was £4!

that is extreme
More like daylight robbery. Charging £3 for a bottle of water is taking the piss :(

The tournament organisers should take note of what a good bike rally offers

There's usually plenty of hot or cold options (including veggy) and at affordable prices

In portugal we have regional in a place called Megacampo that serves at lunch soup, main dish, drink, bread and coffee for 9£, the problem coming back to the game in the afternoon :) Best field in Portugal.

The players should get the conditions they demand, we sure spend enough money to deserv them!
