Jay, you grotesque melon-headed Dutchman. I'm not going to argue with you but nowadays they do check every bag with both x-ray machines and various sorts of either high-tech or low-tech bomb material detecting devices.
Seriously though, airline security still leaves a lot to be desired, but that's not what this thread is about. What this thread is about is an airline doing things correctly in theory only. I agree that in real life it will make little to no difference in the way things go...
lately I hand carried a box of 13 guns through the airport. It went through the X-ray and I clearly saw 13 gun shaped objects on the guys screen. They guy simply said "OK sir you can go"
Didn't even blink at the small arsenal I was asking them to stash in thier plane.
So yes they do Check, but that doesn't mean they are competent...

That brilliant line of AA's press release just triggered my general frustration on the overall ignorance of the airline industry regarding paintball.
I mean, we're talking about people who check-in members of the military and their accompanying assault weapons without blinking an eye, but they want me to register/call/notify/wearayellowstar, because I have a device that shoots air?
you should go postal at the airport and teach them a lesson they will never forget. I mean really go crazy!
I am right there with you too. I will definitely give you moral support...
