Flex 8's, XL Empire top, XL Empire pants

I'm led to believe that Empire sizes in general are hideously over-stated. Can you get me some measurements at all? I wear medium t-shirts, and I'm 5'4", so pretty short with a short body length I guess. I don't want to get one that looks like a dress.

this is with the jersey laid flat on my bed.
from armpit to armpit t is roughly 24"
top of the neck to the bottom of the jersey on the front is roughly 28 1/2"
top of the neck to the bottom of the jersey on the back is roughly 30 1/2"
from the armpit to the cuff on the wrist is roughly 20 1/2"
