Might seem a stupid question but I have heard people talk about reverse threaded tanks etc for some time, does this mean that it is just the threads that screw into the guns ASA that will be reversed or does it include the part where the reg screws into the tank itself?

The reason I ask is that I am aiming to buy a Pure Energy Reg (800psi fixed output) and was wondering, will this screw onto any tank?

thanks guys

i know it would be er just to pick the phone up and speak to LPS or someone but I'm real bored and this exercise has taken up a good 2 minutes of what I know will end up being the most boring day imaginable

reversed threading nearly always referes to the thread IN the bottle into which the reg will screw.
the ASA thread is standard (or should be) so you should be fine with that preset.
Remembering the whole idea of presets is to straight swap for CO2.

Might seem a dumb Q but!

So there is no difference in the threads between a DOT bottle (not that i have one its a friend of a friends, uncles sisters budgie who has it!) and a HSE bottle, a Pure nrg reg would just screw into either of them?

Thanks

i "think" the reversed thread bottles are for fibre wrapped CO2 bottles. to stop you mixing them up, you know with your collection of other spare fibre wrapped bottles.
Because Co2 bottles can only be used for CO2, and Air bottles only for air.

useful?
