Okay so a planet etha/Etek gen 3 is what you guys recommended.
Cheers, I'll keep my eye out for a decent second hand bundle

What about an Ego 2010? Is that fairly noob friendly? I've seen one in the classified section on these forums is all.

I love my ego 10, like all egos it's bombproof and won't let you down, all I really do for maintenance is a couple of drops of oil on the bolt after a days play and leave it in my bag until next time. It's got a nice big screen for programming as well

First post from me on these forums.

Just wondering what you'd recommend I purchase as my first marker.

I'd like something that's easy to maintain and efficient. I'm only casual using it once a month or so.

I was looking at the GoG eNMEy and I've just seen that the Planet Eclipse Etha has good reviews too. The only issue is I have a budget of around £150 for a marker, but the second hand markers seem to be reasonably priced on this forum.
So what would you recommend? Something different or one of the above.

Thanks in advance, Joe.
If you're happy with a a mech (mechanical battery-less marker) then the Enmey would be a solid choice.

for £150 you could get yourself an Empire invert mini, iv played with those before and nothing to complain about
