Barrel kit, new feedneck and rail + on/off should be done as soon as you can to give you the most comfortable and usable setup.

After that i'd say a new front reg would be the only thing that isnt cosmetic.

QEV's are no longer the dish of the day, they cause more problems than they solve.
The gun will still do 17bps without one and wont shred your o-rings, batter your detents or give you random leakages.

I'm still a fan of the stock reg, but in essence I agree with Mike From Brum, both in terms of his upgrades and in terms of the QEV comments. I think the QEV IS still worth it, but it does come at a price - no free lunch here. The grease not venting through the noid is a bonus, as is the efficiency, but yes, it hammers the bolt buffer (a none critical o-ring). I woun'try about the detents cos they're made out of cheese anyway...

Ironically, I might change my front reg but only as a cosmetic upgrade... ;)

ive tried a cp trigger and didnt like it, cos it was ver heavy
just my opinion

when i had an ion i changed feedneck (SP twister) trigger (delrin from usa) barrel (AA) detents (kila) on off (planet) and it shot like a beast not one problem whatsoever that wasnt lube related anyway...

be prepared to spend a fair whack making it shoot good cos the stock parts imo are pretty weak. i was happy with the reg tho, i got +/- 7 fps over a chrono with a LP preset which for a sub £200 gat is fair game i reckon? also got 1200+ shots off a 4500 fill which also i thought was great efficiency

i did not go to the effort of fitting a QEV, just set my gun up like the london tigers do so any problems ask those guys

Im currently using an Adjustable WDP Air system and having purchased the Skull trigger i gotta try it.
Everything else is from the box really.

I think after all your replies i'm gonna go with barrel, feedneck n detents for now. doesnt sound too expensive :D

erm i think there is a uk dealer but dot know it off the top of my head...

teardrop/progressive barrels arent much of an upgrade
best bet is go 2nd hand on a cheap kit eg freak/pipe
or get a decent dye barrel

Tuning Ions - the LT way :p

The trick is to drop your dwell as much as possible (start as stock, then drop it down 2 flashes at a time, note the dwell and either adjust your recharge using a PACT chrono for max BPS (or 15, depends on what gun rules you play by) or by using this handy guide: http://www.zdspb.com/tech/ion/electronics.html - go to the "setting the recharge rate" section.

Don't bother with QEV's, we don't and our guns are more than capable of competing at the highest levels ;)
