Well,

I can (and have) build a cocker from scratch but I wouldn't call my self an airsmith.

Plus, there really isn't a big enough business in the UK to pay the equivalent salaries that some engineering jobs can command.

You are best off doing what other have said and get a general engineering backgorund. Build up the servicing etc work on the side and then, once you have a rep up, decide if you want to do it full time.

Hello boys

I have just got off the phone to wdp and posed this question to dan bearing in mind I have booked my self plus one into the next angel air tec course after much nagging:( and persuasion. We have the teams plus an accademy and lots of walk on's, so lots of toys to look at and that need fixing.

He went very quiet and then recomends you speak to bully UKPSF and also email John Rice at wdp very polietly to ask about work experience oppertunitys ect. Judging by dans shock I would be gental with him.

You could also ask your uni or colledge to approach suitable companies. Have you asked your site? they don't sound like they really need those skills but it would be worth asking.

Dan also said that you are doing all the right things and your current courses will be usefull and in the right direction.

Good luck with your asperations and don't give up:D every oner has to start some wear.

Sparklie;)

Wow! Thanks Sparklie! I really appreciate that information and I might just send an e-mail off to them in the next couple of days.
Your right - we do all have to start somewhere and where better to get a taste for it than at the top (WDP!:D )
I'll keep on the lookout for other places in the meantime, and thanks for the support and info! :)
