Assuming you could actually get an airtight seal, a car tyre compressor couldn't get enough gas into a bottle to fire a single shot.

i was there when friswell filled his with a car compresser we were just testing the gat was working properly but we did manage to fill it to around 250 psi

should have connected the marker to the compressor directly, would have run it for ages. You wouldn't have been able to go very far, as garage compressors are pretty heavy, and need electricity.
