Full On

Hi guy's

All the best to both of the "Full On" teams.
Just so I get this right, will there still be a Full On team at the Midlands Masters and Dunc I take it you want to enter your team under a different name.
What I'll do is reserve a place for Full On and also a place for "another" pending notification of a name.
Let me know if this is right.
Full On will keep the points accumulated so far.
Tel Boy let me have a new contact address to send info to you guy's as I only have Duncons address at present. Duncon info's in the post.
See you both on the 21st.

how will this affect the teams position phil?

Will Dunc and crew have to start from the bottom again, or will you put them in the same divison as they are now as they have earnt it.

Just asking

OK, I'm not sure how this works, but we've already covered the points issue. I aint too bothered about that now....

....what I'm bothered about now is that the old squad (that's the squad who have worked their way up to where we are now) will have to start off back at Div D again. If it's the way it's got to be, then fair enough.... but if there is *any* way of starting off where we left off (without taking on "un-earned" points)?

I'll give you another analogy (please note, this in no-way reflects our situation) :

What if all of the psycho pimps upped and disbanded mid season, but one player was left behind for one reason or another then the rest of the guys reformed under a new banner. They've worked damned hard on getting to Div A, but would they have to start back at Div D purely because they are a new team? despite the fact that the team is made up of pretty much exactly the same players as the Div A team?

As I said, if it's just the rules of the series then so be it, I don't want to tread on any toes....

Dunc.

I think this is becoming warped. So lets use a recognisable analogy to try & let this subject finally rest.
If both David Beckham & Roy Keane left Manchester United & joined Leicester City (which would be interesting!!), would they take Manchester UTD's premiership points with them on the basis that they'd scored or help scored the goals?
The answer of course is no as we all know & understand.

This is nothing to do with rules - 5 players in a team are just that - "players in the team" - they are not "The Team".

The team "Full On" continues with Tel Boy as captain as before & the vice captain Duncan with 4 other players has now left to start a new team.

The rest of the "Full On" team look forward to the next leg of the Midland Masters.

Exactly Dunc.

The team members that left have the experiance and skils to play in the higher division, but then they get moved down to the lower divisons again, where they meet the teams they beat before when they climbed out of the lower divisons. While this does give the lower teams a good game, it ain't exactly fair on them

Meanwhile the higer placed team brings in new players that "might not" have the necessarry experiance and skills to play in their division, which leads to them getting pulped by all and sundry. While this is nice for the other teams in the division, as they'll all get higher scores, it won't do a lot for the team.

If 4 or 5 of my team left to form another one, i would call for all points earned to stand and whoever had the weaker team would have to go to the bottom to start up again ( the weaker team being me and the new players, as it takes time to learn how to play together). But i see why you wouldn't like this.

anyway i'm glad that i don't have to sort this one out and i'll look forward to seeing you both of the teams at the next event.
