Well I knew it allowed for adjustment of the dwell, but I thought maybe for more efficiency. I dont really have a need for low-velocity shooting. I was mainly after a black bolt guide but seeing as I have a spare one I think it's going to have a visit to the boys at sloth.

The very front portion is "loose" sort of...you adjust it via an allen key in teh back (smaller than teh one you use to remove the guide)...and it winds the front portion in and out..w.hich I think...creates a partial leak during firing (not when not firing)...which causes teh drop in velocity, but maintains normal efficiency, as you dnt have to fiddle with teh dwell
