Liz, thanks for the URL - I didn't know there was onther site so close to the Skirmish one!...I'll be over there soon to spectate a few games and take it from there.
Sean, thanks for the info. The last time I played at the skirmish site was about 10 years ago - in fact it may not even be the same site (my memory is going with my old age!!), but I played somewhere near there. I used to play at Holmbush alot, and was on the site team (HOGs) for a while until kiddies started coming along and I could no longer afford to play. My eldest is now 12 and is starting to get interested in the game (much to my other-half's despair!) so my interest in playing again is growing daily (and I've played a few rec games recently). I'll probably take him along to a couple of Sparklies academy days (although he seems to be pretty good without any tuition so far!) even if it's only to get me up to speed with how things are done these days.
