Why the hell not spend over 1,000 if you have it? Who cares if you play in tourneys or not. You don't have to be a professional race car driver to buy a Ferrari, you just have to be able to afford it (or talented enough to steal one).:p

when i first started i bought a spyder im talking one of the first made and it was ****e, sold it straight away. then a boxer, then an inferno and then a evo 97 my point is if i had gone out and bought top of the range straight away i would of saved loads. i now run on an impulse vision and it rocks totally. its the first time since my 9years in the game that i am able to hold my own in a tourney. once u got the kit the only thing to work on is ur game.;)

I had a similar experience. I played for several years with a Tippman and a Piranha and other low end markers. Then I bought an Impulse and couldn't believe the amount of paint I could dump out when it was needed. If you're serious about the game (even if you just play rec-ball), low end markers are a waste of money IMHO.
