i'd either go for an E-blade or An Angel speed but there are a load of markers for £1000+ its all personal preference, and they'd be mine

Why the hell not spend over 1,000 if you have it? Who cares if you play in tourneys or not. You don't have to be a professional race car driver to buy a Ferrari, you just have to be able to afford it (or talented enough to steal one).
Even a team of newbies will be packing a couple of top-end markers.... very common in any tournament, walk on or big-game. Get used to it.
Its useless to have a marker you dont know how to work, if you have slow fingers dont get a super fast marker, or you could get a mag setup for 600$ and use the rest of ur money on paint or other gear
when i first started i bought a spyder im talking one of the first made and it was ****e, sold it straight away. then a boxer, then an inferno and then a evo 97 my point is if i had gone out and bought top of the range straight away i would of saved loads. i now run on an impulse vision and it rocks totally. its the first time since my 9years in the game that i am able to hold my own in a tourney. once u got the kit the only thing to work on is ur game.
I had a similar experience. I played for several years with a Tippman and a Piranha and other low end markers. Then I bought an Impulse and couldn't believe the amount of paint I could dump out when it was needed. If you're serious about the game (even if you just play rec-ball), low end markers are a waste of money IMHO.Originally posted by INGI
