I've got a pro-team products/benchmark double trigger .45 frame for my automag, its sexy as can be, but theres quite alot of (i think excessive) trigger travel both backwards and forwards of the point where the gun fires.
Any idea's on how to cut down the travel ?
cheers,
Sean

Are there ny adjustment screws on it? if not, one way to cut down post travel would be to attach a little bar of metal to the back of the trigger, so that it stops the trigger moving after the gun fires.

you could do tis by getting a small modelling drill/pin vice (about £5 from a model shop or your local games workshop) and drill a small hole through your trigger, then get a piece of wire (agina from a modelling shop) and putting it though the hole. cut it down to the length that you need and ram some epoxy putty (again from a model shop) into the hole!

you could use some epoxy putty (also known as green stuff, you'll have some left over from the previous job) to shorten it by putting some into the acutation bit at the top, while holding the trigger as far in front of the actuation point as you want.

It's a little home made, but it'll work :)

i noticed that the trigger only stops going away from the pin when the back of the trigger pivot hits the sear pin inside the frame. I might just chuck some putty on the end of the pivot so it makes contact earlier.

UNder absolutely no circumstances, should the sear rod length be less than standard, dont adjust it, go to automags.org, and ask there or phone AGDE about it.
Its not supposed to touch the back of the trigger...unless you know exactly what you are doing, do not adjust the trigger rod length, or the on/off pin length.

digicam batteries died :(
no the sear is not at fault at all, i just mean that at the very top end of the trigger itself, where it pivots is some metal going into the frame, it stops the trigger from travelling forwards by touching the top length of the sear pin.

recharging the batteries atm ;)
