I just gassed it up & it's started leaking air out of the small volumiser, the small hole just under the one on the front

It wasn't doing it just after I'd put it on, when I was checking it with the gauge, or before I had put the long volumiser on.
I also turned the eyes off to dry fire it, but nothing happened, it would not fire...I think it's something to do with the long volumiser & the spring, etc :(

What can I do?

Have I overtightened the screws on the side of it?

Unfortunatly you need to use a guage on your minireg to find out it's operating pressure. Borrow beg or steal one, exact tank output pressure is usally needed as well (if using a preset)

Newton kits are great but can be a pig to set up and sweet-spot. Once you've set it eventually, don't touch it.

EDIT: Try adjusting the pressure on the LPR (the smaller of the things sticking out where the guage can be scewed in

Rosie,

Its not going to work without the proper spring.

Let me know your address again and I will send you one in an envelope (deja vous ?)

To find out your reg pressure you need a reg tester. But for the Speed '05 you need one that screws on the front of your gun as the reg is not a normal screw in type.

Very deja-vous, thanks John I'll PM it you again :)

OK..I'll try & borrow one from somewhere
I know a couple of people who use the kit on their markers, they should have the reg tester...

I also missed out this step, not having the kit

"You then have to get the LPR up to about 100psi before installing the Evolve LPR Cap. So it's a good idea to see what your current LPR is running at. Gas the Angel up and fire 5-6 dry shots to equalize the LPR pressure and make sure you have the Tool Gauge on when you are doing this because that is how you'll read the pressure. As you can see, my LPR was stock from WDP at 65psi:"

and hense the LPR never needed to come out, etc as I couldn't tell what needed to be added

I adjusted the LPR cap to read 50, tho, like it said, presuming I don't need to adjust the shims (Lucky, only got one ;))

edit: looks nice, & the best balanced it's ever been; can hold it on one finger at the back

I've been really careful on the shaft, used rubber wristbands, grippy rubber gloves, everything I've got...I might have to try & get a vice...

It sounds as tho you have got a couple already.

Anyway, it all sounds a bit extreme Rosie but if it makes him happy.....

if I remember correctly you have to add shims untill the lpr reads 100 psi and then use the kit to drop it to 50 and im pretty sure this was quite vital to the process ..cant say i understood why though

Lorena Bobbit, Harsh!!

She should have played paintball, she didn't do enough cathartic sport 'n stuff :D...combined with being a complete and utter nut...
(just to qualify, no )

Anyway , back to how I can un-fe** up my marker :D
I don't want to see any more rams or shafts or lube etc being taken out of context!

Just put the whole dam lot in a box and send it up to John C. I had one of these full kits including the re-builder RAM (saves you F@@@ing up your Angel RAM) and they do take a little fiddling to get set up right.

Not a job you really want to start with out the right bits and a little now how.

Mine was set up a treat, handy when you’re just down the road from Mark at Evolve.

You will be happy when it’s all on, and will make a difference, but that LPR thing is really a complete waist of time.
