Now a aint havin a dig here but wots the odds on gettin the event location changed for this event?
I played this year and thought it was so damm good, it's definetly one one of the best tourneys you could play in, with bein so close and the adrenaline runnin turbo!

Thats the reason why I think it would be a good idea to get the location changed to somewhere where the public can come in and watch this madness happening. Rather than being away from the hussle and bussle, would there be any chance of gettin an Indoor venue closer to the town, where the public could walk in and see this event?

If it was advertised and the public did come in, there is no-doubt they would like what they see, gets more people tuned in to what paintball is all about and more outside sponsor intrests, cause if people really do wanna watch sumthin, companies who could make money off it will jump in head first!

Just a random thought I had, no disrepect meant at all, the location I played was fantastic very well run also, but a bit in the woods!

i played the last one & it rocked big time but the venue needs to
change if you want joe public to attend in large numbers also
on the way down we did'nt see any flyers posted any where
until we turned onto the site ...
not taking any thing away from the organisers/marshals ect
i think its out grown this venue.

I heard the same rumour, they may be able to fit in more teams and hopefully some more european teams can enter.

It'll be great to get more public interest but my dad came to watch us this year and because he's never played didn't really understand what was happening. The only thing that really interested him was his sons we're playing. In that venue you really can't see all that much.

My own world
It was held at Hilton, Cannock, just of Junction 11, not sure of the place name but it's a farmers stables I think, but very big.

Not sure of whats happening next year, Jon might be able to shed more light on it, so I won't fuel rumours.

But....

It does need more publicity it's the sort of event the public would watch, very close, very fast and in your face. The right venue and setup it would be just the sort of think paintball needs to get noticed. But without the right publicity drive behind it, it'll go nowhere.

I know that they have looked at other avenues like the NEC in Birmingham, However, the cost of hiring the venue means that Phoenix can not justify spending that much........but I never said never.

Guess you will have to wait to see what they can find, but if anyone has any ideas I am sure they would be pleased to hear them!!!!!!!
