Ethics of selling markers to under eighteens

I've never thought about it like that, good thread. I suppose it all boils down to trust. Selling on here is paintballers selling to paintballers, or budding paintballers. Sure we have been scammed a fair few times but its still a trusting community. If a random person offered to buy a marker off of me, outside of the community, I would be very wary.

So technically it is legal to shoot it in my back garden, yes?
Yes, as long as its 50m away from a public highway. Also make sure your neighbours are happy with it, as they have legal rights to complain if it disturbs them.

technically you have to be at least 20 yards away from a main roadway, but i doubt the cops are gonna come and get you if you shoot in your back garden :D . Personally i think this rule is stupid, because it doesnt take into account which direction you are shooting

Well good stuff, first wasnt a knock at the under eighteens [was once myself:D ] just felt needed to know where I stood.

You know how it is nowadays, you sell em fags, booze, glue and all that good stuff and YOU WILL get jumped on from a great height.

Ballers 14-50 were all a bit mad and all love the game.
M8 You will be well happy with the Lucky Bolt and happy to sell to you.

17 or over to Purchase an air weapon.

14 and over to use it unsupervised, where they have a right to be.

If under 14 must be supervised by a responsible person over 21.

50 FEET (just under 20 yards) from the CENTRE of the Queens Highway.

An offence is committed, if you fire a ball outside of the boundary of the land, on which you have a right to be.

An offence is also committed, by someone under 17, if they have any air weapon in a public place, unless they are at a target club or shooting gallery, or the weapon is securely covered so that it cannot be fired.

With regards to PISTOLS, the above applies, but if under 17 you cannot have an air pistol in a public place, even if it is covered so that it cannot be fired. So, on the way to your target club, someone older has to have it in their possession.

BUT...interestingly...the following is taken from the current HO Guidelines

It should be noted that the majority but by
no means all guns powered by carbon dioxide
which discharge paint pellets and which are
used in adventure games are unlikely to cause
serious injury, nor were they designed as
“weapons”. As such, they should not be
considered to be “firearms”.

So if you abide by the rules as above, it would be a good idea...but really they cant touch you...potentially. In reality, they will just book you for something else...

I know most of this stuff off by heart, but if anyone does have any questions, I have the full HO Guidelines to refer to.

Dont know why I was so worried, its just EBAY took markers "off sale" because of the very issue I was worried about.
