I think PGI had more forsight that to just see the $ sign with the adverts.
Anyway its nearly 1am here, bedtime for me will jump on in the morning to see what other people have felt about this.

I know it had hit a bit of a nerve with me, perhaps I am a bit sensitive and protective of the image that we as paintballers portray - is that a bad thing? who knows.

You guys think about it too much. For the German government, this is probably something very small on their agenda. They arent all standing around, night after night arguing about how dangerous paintball is, "and look, they make a paint called Killer Paintballs! Write that down Herr Schmitt!"

Yes it is stupid, but in reality, we can all see its just paintballs.

Anyone remember Slam Ball (was that the name?) the paint with cuss words printed on the shell? No one kicked off about that. It was a novelty, and fun, for about 5 seconds.

Its and Australian Company producing the paintballs in their factory in china.

The guys who own it also own the largest pro shop in Australia, if you have a problem with any of their advertising strategies. Go and speak to Mike, John, Trent, Adam, Ian or Darryn at www.pbchat.com.au (follow the links to find Killer, Paintball Assassin, PB shop and the Action Paintball Games websites.

I know these guys, have met them, have balled with some of them, and bought most of my gear from them when I lived in Australia, they are good guys.

And if you think about it, its a pretty effective marketing strategy, its got a lot of people talking about the brand, it also ties in well with their product arm Paintball Assassin, you know they make the Deathstix barrels. (I believe Paintball Assassin sponsors Edmonton Impact and they shoot Deathstix barrels.)

Now all of these products and their names were conceived and produced before this whole thing in Germany ever happened. And yes it may not be the best image for the sport, but it is definitely an eye catching one isn't it? Which has to be agreed is what the aim of marketing and advertising is...

And yes there will be some people who have a problem with the images and as such will not buy from them, but there are others that will see it for what it is... A marketing strategy, one that is generating talk about the company and their products.

Now, a quick note from me, I do not, nor have ever worked for Action Paintball Games or the associated companies Paintball Assassin and Killer Paintballs. I was not a fully sponsored player, I (as part of my team Dogs Of War,) was partially sponsored by Paintball Assassin to shoot the Deathstix barrel kits.

Some of you may see me as biased toward them, and yes that may be the case, but they are good products. Simple as that, I still shoot my deathstix kit. And will continue to do so.

Zac.

tbh its just one name in a selection of hundreds of brands of paint available. im sure the public who no jack about paintball will ever hear about this
That's the truth mate.

And ultimately, are they bullets? No. They are paintballs. Paintballs do not kill people, idiots kill people.
