Team mate said he got electrocuted (quite badly) by his etek (with star frame) yesterday. Any ideas how this might've happened? Wasn't raining or wet at all.

i would think your mate was full of static and then touched the gun happens to me all the time with shopping trollys and car keys

on my old works van i would go to lock it and you could sometimes see a blue spark jump from me to the lock after a long drive

and for some reason on lift doors when i go shoping in the city never noticed untill i started to push the buggy about

The human body is resistant up to ~20v, and if the battery did make contact with the frame, the marker wouldnt have worked. Chance are he caught some air in the gaps between parts and pulled....feels the same as a small shock Tell him to open up a telly and rub the HT lead against his arm, and see if it feels the same
