cocker reliability
I mean no offense to any current cocker owners, but if you look at the track record over the life of the gun which is around ten years, they haven't had a good time of it.
Modern guns like the shocker, angel ect., are basically electronic versions of the manual valve system used by the cocker, so the design principle is sound, but through the life of the cocker it has proved to be very complicated and extremely difficult for the average paintballer to maintain and repair.
As far as the long queues for angel repairs, people are using wdp's free repair service for quick and reliable repairs, instead of learning how to fix the guns themselves, which are really quite simple to repair.
Paintball guns need to be maintained by the owner, but due to the high initial cost, people are frightened to open the thing up and play around inside, which is a shame.
I hope the cocker in it's present state enjoys the same following of dedicated owners, as it did years ago when it was competing with the mag, because it's a very good gun and without it's presence ten years ago there probably wouldn't have been a shocker or angel, but face facts the angel, just like the automag years ago, is a more "user-frendly" gun.
