electric

If you have the money you should go for a autococker or an angel. you can pick up a second hand cocker pretty cheap. if you are looking for a bit cheaper gun then you might wanna try for a spyder they have a whole line of electric guns. you will get a lot of different opinions on whether to go electric or not. once again if you are looking to spend a lot of money then go for a angel or a cocker. you can always add a e-frame to a cocker. hope this helps!

If you are not then buy a cocker with a hinge trigger. If you decide to go electric then you just add an e-blade or race trigger frame.
If you go electric then it depends on the amount of money you have to spend. There are many second hand bargains out there, full systems with fitted air, going at reasonable prices. Also a lot of kit available new. Get down to your nearest Walk-On and ask people to show you thier markers, we are mostly a proud bunch and are happy to show off our latest toys. Then you can judge for yourself, better than just pulling the trigger in a shop, which suits you best.
I'm biased cos I use eblades, but I can't fire an Angel as fast, (except for the Speed, strangly enough), and I find the Angels to be too light. But that's me not you

What sort of budget are you on. People on here will be quite willing to find markers for you on the forums etc that are good deals or even people selling their own markers.

Present the budget and let us do the work for you :)

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
If your going electro on a budget the seriously consider a second hand shocker. I just picked up a lovely eclipse shocker for next to nothing as a backup marker and i'm well pleased with it.

Also there are some fantastic deals on Automags second hand. They're a bit of an aquired taste so take the earlier advice and try some guns at a walk-on. Go for something you like the feel of and that shoots right for you. Don't be swayed by the hype!!!!

rather than listen to a bunch of guys reckomend the marker they use, you could do far worse that get your self down to a big store or a big walk on day and ask to try as many markers as you can....stores will go out of their way to help as will most players, if anyone asks for a bash on mine im always more than happy to let them.....at a tournie this week end myself and a team mate asked somone if we could try his timmy and we landed up putting a couple of pot thru it.
after you have tried out a few markers you will have more of an idea of what suits you...then you can go shopping, dont forget that 2nd hand is always a good idea esp at the mo with lots of new markers appearing

I personally have a 2003 wgp atuococker and its great.
I only thought i was gonna spend like 700$ tops on a gun and nitrogen system....but it turns out to be like $1,000.
I would suggest an autococker if u have money to spend.

Peace :D

electric - definately

i've been in the paintball scene for about 10 years now and i've seen guns appear and dissapear, if there's any advice i can give, it's don't be swayed by current trends. look at the guns wich are selling well, Impulse at around 400, Angel at around 1000. When i started i bought a level 7 mag and it was a fantastic gun, but about 3 or 4 years ago i picked up a second hand shocker, and allthough the mag was great, what a difference, the shocker was a massive step up, and as for cockers, they are too much trouble. I have an angel now and i can't fault, but if you need a reccomendation but an Impulse, and you can't go wrong.
