Some people just don't like the feel of Ions, too light and cheap, but then obviously loads do
It's same with Most markers. Shockers seem to be in fashion at the min, Egos are timeless, Timmys are bloody everywhere (Like in my kit bag) Angels come and go and Dye's range is currently a bit "Indie".
Horses for coarses as they say.
You'll not get many, after trying high-end markers, going back to an Ion, but then they've attracted some chinic die-hard fans who can't get enough.
You gotta appresiate what SP have done for the PB world though, no more saving hundreds and hundreds just to get something that will "keep up". You can go out, spend £250-ish and be ready to thwock yer mates at the next walk-on.
I'm personally not too keen on the Ion, and have an inherent distrust/dislike of any and all Spyders
Best bet for anyone starting out is to go to a local walk-on, be nice and ask about and see what you like. That's how I ended up selling my Angel and buying an Empire Timmy.
