aye they were from the same batch as they came in the spares kit with the gat. Could just be a bad batch, will find out when i get some more.

if they had been sitting in the box, in your spare room or wherever they could potentially have been sitting in the box since it was originally packed. god knows how many months ago that would be.

I would try a new pack from planet, for the sake of a fiver and see how you go.
