you dont need it updating perse
what version have you got now

upgrade from v1.00 is free
think its a tenner or so if you are still running v0.17

technically you dont need to send it off jsut read the damn manual and take some time setting it up
yes it does take a while when you dont know exactly whats best to do hence trial and error and a couple of hours is what it might take

lovetone, I'm sure I'm wrong here but I thought it used to be called semi 2 and then changed to CFOA on newer boards. Have I got it the wrong way round (or have you? :p :))

What exactly is the difference between v1.00 and v1.08? And you say this upgrade is free? (+ shipping presumably...)

But if i dont fiddel with it i will have bounce which makes my gun fully auto;) Well after fiting my FBM trigger thats what it was like, but now as i cant get rid off bounce i put on old STAR trigger and will use that till i find a Ego tech to do my FBM one.

Dose any one know if i sent it off to PE to get software update they could do the trigger for me? And set it up like said in another thread by skeet?

on v1.00 its CFOA which is later called semi 2, which is semi capped at 15

semi 1 or "semi" on v1.00 was and always is uncapped semi limited by loader / fingers etc

between v1.00 and v1.00 you get an extra ramp mode, and the tt filtering software is changed a bit to make it "better". its all the same theres nothing "visibly" different i think the algorythms used in the software is tweaked between versions.

hope this helps if in doubt (or to corroberate my no doubt non-perfect info) give planet a ring :)

call PE think its about £40 for full service and that includes setting the marker up to your preference. at least its that price for cockers. might be less for egos.

the reason your FBM trigger bounces more is cos its made of delrin which is significantly lighter than the metal eclipse triggers. therefore you will need to up your band and decrease the bounce tolerance settings. maybe also up your Pull setting too.
