Having just checked my manual all modes except semi 1 can have the ROF cap adjusted with or without eyes on to a max of 15.4. With eyes off they don't recommend it above 12 though.

I believe all the modes are identical, only diffference being on the new 06 boards the options are better and more adjustable, for example activation points on the trigger.
I'm not sure. I really have no right at all to be talking about ego's 
Oddly, I do have an 05 manual here and if definately doesn't say anything about setting eyes on ROF, only eyes off...
EDIT: In fact, one of the updates of the v1.00 software was that it renamed Max ROF (the only adjustable ROF I can find in the manual) to OFF ROF to avoid confusion

Hi babe, if you want actual instructions...:
take grips off
turn gat on
inside grip frame is a little red button, press and hold
it'll go into mode settings, press centre button
you now have access to semi 1, semi 2 and ramp modes, press top or bottom button to scroll
select semi 2, press enter (centre button)
scroll down to 'back' and select (centre button)
your now back to normal gun operation
