OK sorry tom, my complete mistake! i ment one of those vernometer things u got there at the bottom of pic, i got a few mechanical ones about the shed and that, and for some reason i thought they were also a type of micrometer.

see, i knew i couldnt be right over u mate, sorry about that

They do make an inside micrometer, it's like the measuring end of a normal mic, with a cap. You use it like a stick, a bit fiddly to use but accurate.

The original EGOS came with smaller bore barrels than the new ones did they? Have #39... this may explain issues I was having this weekend with breaking paint... hopefully...

some reason they changed them,
but now i use the larger size the problem of burst has gone!
