Not sure if this would help, but these are threaded barbs for the ego5/6, speak with Planet to see if these would be suitable for the ego 8. The nose of the barb on the ego 8 looks longer!

theyre a fatter thread i think M6 possibly. the ego 8 one is a M4 i will have a look tonight though as i have an Ego 5
