Excuse my ignorance, its been a while since I've purchased through paypal. I have researched the fees (which used to be 4%) and it appears that if the transaction is within the UK and made from a debit card there are no fees :-/

Can you shed any light?

If that's the case how much would postage be on top of the £55?

There are fees even though if you are sending money it says no fees , but the seller will be charged so say you send £55 at a guess seller would receive £51. So its always best to add your own fees ontop or do it as owed.
Search google for a PayPal convertor to figure out fees

Note if you send money as a friend instead of goods then neither gets charged fees but as a buyer your not protected

On this basis it seems I would need to send £57.14 to cover fees and for @Nodinny to receive £55. Therefore, Nodinny are you happy to call it £60 all in??

Also you state "when I bought the rotor I was told it was fully functional" - can you confirm you have tested the rotor and it is fully functional or if, once received, the rotor is found to be faulty you will provide a full refund?

The rotor works great I fully cleaned and put new batteries in it when I got it and put two boxes through it and the gun so no problems that I seen. Yeh I'd do 60 posted. If you pay for it today ill get it out today and with you asap. On me your address and I'll send you my paypal details
